Dear Sisters and Brothers...
One of our number is in need.
Rev. Brian Glenn (pictured above - LEFT) who is one of our clergy-empowered members, is one of the most caring and devoted people you may wish to know.
Early Wednesday afternoon, his husband Travis Plementosh (pictured above - RIGHT) had a severe seizure. Travis was rushed to the local hospital, where they did a cat scan to see if they could find the cause of the seizure. What they found was a tumor roughly the size of a fist on his brain.
Upon this discovery, they transferred him to the Medical University of South Carolina.
He is in a regular room as of right now, but will be undergoing a biopsy next Tuesday. Because of the location of the tumor, they are trying to keep him in the hospital as long as possible which may be an additional week waiting on the results of the biopsy.
Unfortunately this means Travis will be unable to go to work, which means that their financial situation is going to go downhill very quickly. A mutual friend and very close co-worker has started a GoFundMe account to help them out with money for rent, car payment, car Insurance, and utilities.
Rev. Brenda Gray who is also one of our clergy and associate of Brian, is taking care of all their cell phone bills and household pets. The hospital is about 2 hrs drive from where they live.
We'd appreciate sharing this out to your usual sources to help generate some help for Brian and Travis in this very trying time.
