In The Name Of God
A Poem By Lori Bruno
In the name of God?
How odd!
War condone
Skull and bone
Hate each other
You forgot the Great Mother,
Forget your sister and your brother.
Religion is good,
But misunderstood.
The Holy books can justify
Who is to live and who is to die.
There is another way
Learn all paths this day.
Open your mind
Your soul you'll unbind,
And learn to be kind
Unholy war,
No More!
"Garden of Eden"
That's what we're needin'
Become a caring nation,
Not part of the un-creation.
If you do,
Keep peace true,
Between me and you!
No more war!
The price is too high,
All want to live, none want to die!
Allah! Buddha! Christ! Great Mother!
Want humanity to love one another.
Hate not for religion or color of the skin,
Look into the heart - the Soul is within.
Create, not destroy.
Make the world a place filled with joy.
This is not odd,
It is a place of Goddess and God!
